modified digital rebel. 1.8 hours at iso800 (15 lights). 9 darks, 11 bias, 15 flats, and 10 flat darks. Idas light pollution filter. guided with st-4 on losmandy gm8. discovery 8 inch f.6 newt. Notes: there was a breeze this night and my poor overloaded mount was spazzing out. tracking error averages reached upwards to around 6. i did my best to fix the stars up. this is the first real image with my new scope and im still learning how to get the most of it. calibration was done in astroart. registration in registar. final image stretching in photoshop CS.
Incredible shot!
When I first saw the thumbnail at the bottom of the forum index, I thought it was a painting (or digital "painting") instead of a photo. That's practically a Hubble shot!
