I’m using interlocking angle-iron pieces to prevent uplift. Pic taken this afternoon after I applied 1st coat of rustoleum to batch of steel. The 2x3 (larger pieces not yet pre-drilled) attach to 2x8 on rolling roof frame and the smaller 1.5x1.5 are attached to side of observatory top wall plate and gantry rails. Additional 1.5x1.5 need to be prepped and painted. No fun cleaning grime off raw steel to paint. If you choose raw steel it’s either paint with rust-preventative or it’ll rust.
