8" Older Meade SCT with dual 6.3 reducers - 721mm focal length
ASI178mm camera, 350 gain, 12s subs, darks, no flats
M51 was my first EAA object viewed in the sky using a AT72EDii with no reducer, no darks, no flats. It was my exciting entry into EAA.
This is my first repeat view of M51. I am getting comfortable with the workflow viewing objects with the Meade SCT.
SCT views take a bit more discipline, and I should really be using flats, but this type of EAA view is now becoming routine and with predictable results.
