February 23, 2022. Witch Head Nebula. IC 2118.
This image is the result of only 30 subs of 30 secs each using a Canon 400mm 2.8 Lens on a Canon full spectrum 60D APS-C DSLR.
Tracking only, no guiding, on a Sky Watcher EQ6-R Pro mount. The sky was clear but I had only a short period of decent transparency.
Transparency gradually became almost nil. That and equipment issues (loose power connection in a power strip and a cord becoming entangled
in the mount) further limited the exposures I could get. Images calibrated and stacked in Sirl. Processed in Sirl and GIMP.
