The wire tool is approximately 5.0, 1.8, and 0.8 degrees scale for the Sky Atlas 2000.0. Those sizes represent the FOV for my finderscope, wide angle eyepiece, and other useful eyepieces.
I used 16 gauge copper wire that I found in the picture-hanging section at my hardware store. I wrapped it around various items of the right size... D battery, a screwdriver, etc. I made different "viewers" for the Pocket Sky Atlas & other atlases. It's surprisingly easy to do and kinda fun.
