8 hours of subs! pretty sure I'm experiencing "diminishing returns" and melting my retina. I'm just learning how to work with 16 bit per channel .FITS and GIMP, darks and flats. Theses were stacked from using DSS and "Bayer Drizzle"

The "bortle9 6hr37min" portion was "color processed" with Roger Clark's https://clarkvision....-color-stretch/ and I positively agree with his claim

The rnc-color-stretch program provides advanced image stretching of astrophotography images able to extract faint signals from astrophotos while maintaining original color. The program enables novice to expert image processors with a consistent environment that fits well into a color managed workflow to produce spectacular natural color images as well as custom white balance or narrow band or UV-IR false color images. The rnc-color-stretch program is an open source davinci script.

although it may be tough to set up for those who aren't familiar with "command line" applications. It runs under a Linux scientific environment named "DaVinci" that runs on most computers including PC's and Macs - their both FREE from really generous developers
