Taken on June 11, 2022 using an Astro-Tech AT72ED and a Tele Vue 2X Powermate. I wanted to try an image using a blue filter to see if that could provide better resolution with such a small refractor. As such, I think that this image suffered somewhat for being taken in blue light. Green may have been a better choice both for the seeing and the optical correction of this ED scope.
The moon was also fairly low in the sky at just over 37° in altitude (about the best it gets at this time of the year for the late, waxing gibbous moon). It was, however, a good time to capture Mons Rumker which can be seen near to the terminator and just above center left. I think this is one of the most prominent volcanic domes that is visible on the moon.
Image capture with SharpCap Pro, image processing with AutoStakkert! (best 1024 out of 5000 frames), Registax (wavelet sharpening), and Photoshop CC 2022 (tweaks and photo frame).
