I purchased a StellaMira 80mm ED refractor about three months ago with the intent to use it for lunar, solar, and double star imaging and just today I got around to using it for the first time on the sun (I've used it many times at night, but this is the first daytime use).
As you can see, with an 800mm focal length this scope will capture the full disk of the sun when using one of the so-called 1" format cameras (like the ZWO ASI183MM Pro). In this case I was also using a relatively new Baader 2" Cool-Ceramic Safety Herschel Prism with a Baader Continuum and ND 1.8 filter set.
This is about a 50% reduction from the original capture.
