I decided to take a look at some details in M31 Andromeda galaxy and I found the star cloud NGC 206 interesting. NGC 206 is a star field with nebulosity in Andromeda galaxy. NGC 206 is the richest star cloud in M31, having a total mass of 200,000 suns. I could see why it has its own number. Through the scope, I could imagine it as being a separate object right on the edge of M31 whose spiral arms form a blotchy and discontinuous background. NGC 206 stood out clearly as an elongated patch of moderate, uniform surface brightness with some star like points. I could clearly see its narrowing strip whose tip fades into the spiral arm it lies on. A couple of other fuzzy bright knots, much smaller and fainter, were visible with averted vision in the vicinity.
