My scope set up for observing from the dark skies of the San Juan Basin. The scope is a 12.5" f/5.1 newtonian. The primary mirror was refigured by the late Steve Swayze in 2018. The details captured by my high-resolution astrophotography speaks to the quaility of the mirror. I built this ultralight scope in 2020 during the Covid 19 pandemic. It is a GoTo scope, driven by an OnStep system, running off of a battery. It takes about 20 minutes to assemble the scope at a remote site. It is an absolute joy to use!
