Here is my image of the Rosette nebula in the constellation Monoceros -the unicorn. The Rosette nebula is an emission nebula which receives its energy from the stars seen in the center of the image. These stars themselves are said to have been formed from the nebula itself. This large nebula has been measure to have approximately 130 light-years in diameter.
