Do you actually carry out your XT8 like this, attached to the mount? I have a Z8 that is very similar to your scope, but I've never dared carry it outside - or anywhere - with the OTA hanging on to the mount by the springs. I'd like to take the scope out in one trip, but I doubt it would survive without some damage if carried that way you show here.
