which scope are you thinking of replacing the reflector with ?

I repalced the Tal with the Orion. I kept the Tal for a while to be sure I would be happy with the Orion. Overall I think the Tal pulled out a little more detail than the Orion...... But it is such a pain to set up, It is very heavy and because of the lenght of the OTA, it was very difficult to focus. The Mak is much easier to handle, set up, align and focus. Which makes it a better overall expierience for me.
I'm sure the image quaility will improve as I get used to it and finish modifying the mount.
One season wonder!! LOL!! Yea, the hurricanes through us for a serious loop. We are just now getting settled again.....
