A tall solar prominence, 18th March 2023

A timelapse over ~45min in v poor seeing of a tall persistent prominence as it begins to disconnect after growing for >3 days. Top measured speeds of 100km/s up (as the right side disconnects) and 80km/s down in the column.

100mm refractor, Quark Chromosphere hydrogen-alpha filter and ZWO ASI174MM camera, 15s video (~2000 frames) every 50s, processed in Autostakkert, Registax, IMPPG, assembled in Photoshop and PIPP.
