Coalsack Loop in HaRGB

Coalsack Loop in HaRGB

What turned out to be more of an interesting project rather than a spectacular picture...This is the final 9-panel mosaic of the enigmatic Coalsack Loop with Halpha and RGB data merged together.
The Ha data was based on approx. 7 hours of 6 min subs. The RGB used to add some star colours- especially of the southern cross- was completed in 90 mins of 30 s subs just before the clouds rolled in. The target is getting low and so this was the last chance to have a go at this for a few months.
All images acquired in Bortle 6, on an AZGTi-EQ mod mount using ASI533MC and 135 mm Samyang.

For comparison, the RGB mosaic (f/2.8 & LP gradient removal) is here:

and the H-alpha (in grayscale) mosaic (f/2 & calibrated with flats) is here: https://www.cloudyni...635_6964590.jpg
