M51 - Whirlpool Galaxy

This image of M51 was shot in LRGB at F/6.3. I am located in upstate New York and the seeing conditions left much to be desired, with a small window of good seeing at around 4AM. I initially had 4 hours of integration time amongst all filters combined, but the result was noisy and lacking in color. I decided to stretch my efforts to a total of 11 hours integration time for all filters (L-5hr, R-2hr, G-2hr B-2hr), which provided a healthy boost in color as well as percieved resolution. I have a long way to go in my astrophotography journey, but for now I am very happy with my results. Let me know what you think!
