Jupiter Time Lapse with Io Transit 2023-10-04

This is a time lapse video of the planet Jupiter during a transit by the moon Io on the morning of October 4, 2023 between 07:00 and 11:43 UT. It was taken through a Stellarvue SVX180T refractor with a 2X Barlow lens using a ZWO ASI678MC camera. The video consists of 300 frames. For each frame, 5000 frames of video were recorded using an exposure of 5ms and a gain of 250. AutoStakkert was used to stack the best 20% of the frames and WaveSharp was used to apply wavelet sharpening and create the animated GIF. Taken from my backyard at the New Mexico Astronomy Village near Deming, New Mexico. The shadow of Io can be seen preceding it across the face of the planet and the Great Red Spot rotates across the entire face of the planet.
