4th (5th?) attempt at M42
Taken from my Bortle 7 backyard over 5 nights
Stock Canon Rebel XTi (18 year old camera), 70-300 mm f/5.6 lens
Star Adventurer GTi, unguided
ISO 1600, 30", f/6.3
660 x 30" frames stacked and processed in Siril and Photoshop (finally getting the hang of GHS)
Better than my first few attempts in terms of detail (finally some dust!), but the CA is much worse for some reason (stars look absolutely atrocious)
I'll eventually revisit it with a duoband filter and an actual modified camera, I hope (not much time left in the season)
