The Compleat Observer, circa 1982

An Edmund Scientific Astroscan, a pair of Bushnell extra-wide-angle 7x35 binoculars, an Edmund Mag 6 Atlas and Burnham's Celestial Handbook; all relatively inexpensive yet highly effective. Add the Edmund 6" f/6 or 8" f/5 located elsewhere in my gallery, and what more could an early 1980's observer long for, save clear skies? Ah, youth, and its simpler (and happier) times...

Edmund Scientific Co made some nice scopes.
