I'm an inexperienced solar imager who started using a Quark Chromosphere filter and adding a UV/IR block filter with my Esprit 80 scope, a few months ago. A couple of weeks ago I got a Lunt 100 universal solar scope and took my first light images with it on Dec. 4, 2024. I have a lot to learn about etalon tuning and image processing. But in spite of that, I thought it useful to record my early inexperienced results using both approaches to solar imaging. Hopefully, my technique will improve with time.
