First DSO image that I'm happy with. Really needed to darken the background to hide the noisy banding and other jank.
Canon R7 (unmodded), Canon 400 F4 DO, ISO 1600, fixed tripod, Bortle Zone 4.5,
736 subs at 0.5 seconds (total integration 6 mins 8 seconds).
20 darks (0.5 seconds).
20 biases (1/16000 second).
20 flats (3.2 seconds).
Stacked and stretched with Siril. Initial color balance, background extraction and object saturation with Siril.
Star removal with Starnet.
Star only image made by subtracting starless frame from original image in Affinity Photo.
Stars and starless frames layered in On1 Photo. Final levels/curves/color corrections to individual layers with ON1 before merging and saving as is.
