Image post-processed from the TIFF file.
It was necessary to manually post-process the TIFF to bring out this detail. The JPG that was automatically downloaded to my iPhone did not contain nearly as much detail.
For the best images, it definitely helps to go long (a couple hours or more) form a darkish site and have the good fortune of good seeing that night.
On nights of bad seeing with the atmosphere making the image dance around a bit, any fine detail will be blurred for times exposures. It is only on those good seeing nights where you can get the fine detail.
jprideaux ... Your image of the HorseHead Nebula is the most beautiful and detailed that I have ever seen of that shadowy object.

I am really happy with my Origin deep sky images, but your images show me how much more I can learn.
