The seeing on this night was above average (Antoniadi II). Mars was very high in the sky in the Southeast.

Equipment and Sketching:
This sketch was made with HB graphite pencil, blending stumps, cotton swabs, white Pearl eraser, assorted color pencils. Using Gimp 2 the sketch was cut off the white sketching paper and added to a black background. Date and Time: February 1, 2025, 10: 20 pm local time.
Telescope used: 16” f/4.41 dobsonian on an equatorial platform filters used polarizing and neodymium.
Eyepiece 6mm orthoscopic at 299x with barlow 597x
