My tube is f/10, so the entire Moon will not fit. I'm using Celestron F/6.3 reducer/corrector (http://www.telescope...c/64/p/5120.uts) - with this one, the Moon fits into the view perfectly fine!

? If you use 30 to 40mm two inch eyepieces the moon will fit fine in a c8. Even a c14.
"will not fit" - I meant, in prime focal mode, with camera attached.
With the lenses it is much easier to manipulate the zooming factor, indeed.
Awesome photograph. Thanks.
Thank you Rex!
Amazing!!! Could u give us details about the eyepiece ?

This was taken with Baader Planetarium 5mm Hyperion lens in lens projection mode.
Hey Fry...is it possible to see the entire moon in your fov using an edge 8"? I ask because I am contemplating buying one. Thanks!
My 8" shows me a .6 degree area, but the moon is about 1.5 degrees...
You could piece together a mosaic given time.

My 8" SCT has 2030mm focal length - too much to fit the entire Moon or Sun. However, I'm using x0.63 focal reducer from Celestron - with it, the Moon fits entirely.
