My current setup to shoot the stars with, Nikon D7000, Nikon 300mm f/4 with a DIY extra long Light shield, Sky-Watcher Adventure mount, Giotto MH-1000 ball head, Red dot sight (custom DIY hot shoe mount), tripod, 5V dc rechargable Li-Ion battery . . . oh and a bunch of Fun. Going to try a few other telephoto lenses with this rig.
