Horsehead and Flame Nebulae

The Horsehead Nebula (on the right) and the Flame Nebula (on the left) in Orion. This 35mm full-frame image was from my first year of taking prime-focus deep sky astrophotos.

_Imager: Olympus OM-1, Elite Chrome 200 film pushed one stop, scanned at 4,032 x 2,688 (10.8 MP) _Scope: Meade MTS-SN6 6-inch f/5 Schmidt-Newtonian. _Exposure: Single, 30 minutes. _Guider: Manually guided using Lumicon 2-inch Newtonian Easy-Guider. _Date: Sept 7, 2002. _Location: Near Ayton, Ontario, Canada.
