Twenty Eight Hour Old Waxing Crescent Moon

Twenty Eight Hour Old Waxing Crescent Moon

On the evening of May 26th during twilight I was able to capture this view in a sketch of the Moon
from my backyard in Mesa, Arizona. Mars was also low in the sky but I was unable to pick it out as I sketched. This was the end a beautiful warm day in the desert sun.
The Moon was beginning Lunation number 1168 and was about 28 hours past new phase.
