This is a montage of these three Messier jewels, created from two images. These two photographs were single 30 minute exposures on Fuji 400F Provia slide film. The photos where captured with a stock Meade LXD75 8" Schmidt Newtonian using an Olympus OM-1 and hand guided with an Orion 910mm focal length guide scope. Enjoy!
WOW! beautiful image!
Chrystal clear detail & spot on guiding. A spectacular image. A great job!!!
30 second exposures??? or did you mean 30 minutes???
OOPS! Thanks for catching that! Of course these where 30 MINUTE exposures!
I'm a newcomer and am just looking at your fantastic images! I am FRANTICALLY looking for my OM-1...
Cheers, Mike
stunning.. absolutely stunning!!
Now I'm sure most CN'ers own the HST!

I think the camera is not a big deal...the guiding is..as well as the polar alignment, drive accuracy and a dark site. Great picture...you are really an astist..
Beautiful pinpoint stars. Super job!!!

everyone they dont really need all that fancy digital stuff to catch these images. You are truely a master.
