Double Cluster

A full frame on 35mm slide film. The focus was unfortunately not perfect, which accounts for the orange flares around some of the stars (the telescope I used has almost no chromatic aberration). The photo would benefit from some deconvolution processing. Regardless, the double cluster is so nice an object almost any photo of it is good. _Imager: Olympus OM-1, Elite Chrome 200 film pushed one stop, scanned at 4,032 x 2,688 (10.8 MP) _Scope: Meade LXD55 6-inch f/5 Schmidt-Newtonian on Vixen GP-DX w/ Skysensor 2000 PC. _Exposure: Single, 20 minutes. _Guider: Manually guided using an 80mm f/5 guidescope. _Date: August 8, 2007. _Location: 14 km north of Mount Forest, Ontario, Canada.
