This a "before" restoration photo, but I'm guessing the "after" will look pretty much the same from this distance. Not much to the scope and there were some quality control issues it seems. The mount straps are the later version and are not integrated into the design very well. I'm going to modify them for a more cohesive design and may add some rings to rotate the tube. - j

    Very nice! The mount appears to be an older (cast-iron?) Palomar Jr. model painted tan instead of the usual grey, in keeping with Edmund's across-the-board color scheme change in late 1976 (the redesigned cast-aluminum GE mount wasn't available until 1978). The fact that the tensioned-vane diagonal and primary mirror end cells aren't in evidence also marks this instrument as pre-1980... most likely of late-1976 or 1977 manufacture.
