Clutch Pack Locking Collar Set Screw

Bram D. Weisman 2017

This is the collar that holds the azimuth clutch pack together. There are two 3mm x 3mm set screws that are supposed to keep this collar from loosening on the shaft. I believe they should be 5-6mm in length. Mine come loose. You can see that they wiggle very easily in the hole. When they are engaged against the shaft, there is probably only about 1mm engagement, so the wiggle will be even worse. A longer screw would be more stable and effective.

Same thing applies to the Altitude clutch pack.

You can see these collars if you spin off the clutch knobs. But you'll have to remove the drive covers to access the screws. You'll need some long allen keys to take the covers off.
