M8 & Half of M20: Oops!

Oh, go ahead and copy this one!

M8 & Half of M20: Oops!

This is published here just for a laugh. The photo is the full frame from a 20-minute exposure on Elite Chrome 200 35mm slide film through a 6-inch f/5 Meade MTS-SN6 Schmidt-Newtonian telescope taken on August 8, 2002, which was only my third night of prime-focus imaging. Obviously I goofed big time. The focus is wonky (something must have been wrong with how the prime-focus adapter was sitting) and I cut poor M20 in half. I can't explain why I made either error. Sometimes you just have a bad night. (Literally. Most of the photos that night were poorly focused, something that I didn't know until weeks later when I got the developed slides back.) Posted Image
