Pelican Nebula (IC 5070)

A full-frame shot on 35mm slide film of the so-called Pelican (AKA Pterodactyl) Nebula(IC 5070) just to the right of the North America Nebula (NGC 7000). One of several good images from my very first night of taking prime-focus, deep-sky astrophotos.

_Imager: Olympus OM-1, Elite Chrome 200 35mm slide film pushed one stop, scanned at 4,032 x 2,688 (10.8 MP). _Scope: Meade MTS-SN6 6-inch f/5 Schmidt-Newtonian. _Exposure: Single, 30 minutes. _Guider: Manually guided using Lumicon 2-inch Newtonian Easy-Guider. _Date: Sept 7, 2002. _Location: Near Ayton, Ontario, Canada.
