This is an approximate 50% crop from the original image. For some reason, back in my 35mm film days something went wrong every time I tried to take a photo of this object. With a DSLR I finally managed to get it. Not a stellar effort (pun intended) but passable. Note that this "casual" image used no flats, darks or bias frames. However, I did dither (manually!) between every subexposure.
