I hope to continue on this project gathering more light frames over the upcoming weeks. The weather stopped cooperating these past two nights. This image was the result of stacking 82 light frames of 1 minute exposures using DSS. Corrections were made for dark, flat and bias frames. In post processing I used PE12 (upgraded with curve stretching and color saturation tools), coupled with Star tools plug-in and Neat Image for noise reduction. Finally I applied iterative Gaussian sharpening and star shrinking tools using Fitswork4. Equipment used included a astromodified Canon 450 XSi enhanced for hydrogen alpha at 800 iso, Tamron 80-200mm Adaptall F2.8 lens at 200mm stepped down to f4.5 and unguided tracking using a counter weight balanced iOptron Skytracker. I am impressed with the performance of this legacy lens.
