Messier 106 and Friends Using Live High Dynamic Range Technique

Messier 106 and Friends Using Live High Dynamic Range Technique

This image was captured using a Mallincam 8" Newtonian at f/4 (no focal reducer, hence the coma) and MallinCam DS10c CMOS video camera. It represents an average stack of 18 frames using 2x2 binning and gain set to 91% of max. Live HDR was achieved by permitting exposure time to vary from 10 to 60 seconds in the course of the live stacking process. Dark frame correction was applied, but no flats. The image has undergone no post-processing.
