Sometimes scopes on Craigslist are underpriced. Last year I bought an RV-6 in good condition for $40 and it was stock. And then sometimes Craigslist scopes seem over priced:

Wow. That is steep.

It's amazing how many people don't do their homework before trying to sell an item. A simple Google search would have revealed the scope's general value. Either the seller didn't care to determine the actual worth, or the seller is aware of the value and is trying to make maximum profit.

I hear he has a 60mm Unitron for $23,000.00 ;)

Regards and clear skies,

Doesn't look much like an RV-6 anymore, either.
If somebody's gonna restore one and ask for a high price, at least they could restore it to original condition.
Just my :penny: :penny:

That was my thinking as well... Part of the value of a classic is in the fact that it is original condition. That wood tripod looks odd as does the black paint. I think I saw a while back that Mike Spooner sold some 6 inch F/9 mirrors for around $500. For a grand you should be able to put together quite a scope...
