Ive found these on Amazon in the $60 range at frys for $118. They seem good quality. Does anyone own these or used them before. Ive got some old 10x50 simmons (cheap but adequate) and am looking for some astronomy binos with occassional day use. Jeff

Jefferson1964. I've got a pair, and I love'em! Great for DSO's, and general milkyway scanning! You can bag the Dumbbell Nebula, M13,M92,m56, and many dso's with them. They give a great amount of bang for the buck! I'd keep the Simmons for day use though, they're a lot handier than the Skymasters. The Skymasters weigh 3 lbs, and about 10-11 inches long. Pete:jump:

Thanks for the response. I was thinking that for the price it is an excellent buy. They come with a tripod mount which is good. I guess i will place my order, hard to beat at amazon, free shipping, no tax....Jeff

The tripod mount they include is marginal at best. You can get a lot better one from Orion for under $20.00. Also, don't get a cheap dapartment store tripod like I did, or you'll be disappointed. Plan to sink at least 1 large in to a good tripod like the Sunpak 7500. that one's on my wish list. Pete

Just got mine last week! Just wish the weather would be a little more cooperative.
