Looks like a Sears 6339 in disguse. If you wait long enought you never know what will show up on Ebay.Anyone want to guess what this will go for, I say $375-$400.Better check the shipping on this one the owner claims he's a QUALITY PACKER $$$$.

Wow! I had hoped this guy would keep that scope. He lives up the road from me and contacted me some time back (1-3 years ago) and asked me about what he should do with it. I encouraged him to keep and and use it or give it away to a family member who would appreciate it.

It is one very clean scope! I might have to get in on this one but would I actually use it??????????

Now that would hardly be fair considering I might bid on it myself! To be honest I don't really recall. I remember thinking at the time that he was asking too much for it but then I did not know about you guys!

We only communicated by phone as far as I recall but I think he sent me the same pics in his ad via email. I'll dig around and see but this was about 2 years ago I think.

Is it just me or does this scope scream Unitron? I'm not very familiar with Unitron stuff myself but the quality, fit & finish and several design features look like early Unitron. I'm nearly positive that a mount exactly like the one in the ad came up for sale at OSP a year or two ago. I believe it was deemed to have been a very early Unitron made for the English market. John Siple may recall the mount I'm talking about. I'd certainly like to learn more about the Scope brand if anyone knows anything.

Keith owns a Scope scope. Perhaps he'll chime in.

It is a fine looking package.

This is a great telescope but not a Unitron. This is a Sears Discoverer/Sans Streffie model.
This model is the forerunner of the later 80mm 1200mm F/l telescopes that were recently sold here on Ebay.Other than that it is somewhat common, the big difference here will be the condition the scope is in.As these telescope were imported to the US they were sold under many brands names you can add this one to the list.

The one good thing i will say about the dented one I got was the objective is clean like really clean and its star tests are perfect but alas these are to slow and small for my old eyes! personaly I can see much better with My Tak 130 F or the cave 10" By the way the veiw of saturn with these 2 scopes is the same detail wise except the Cave is brighter and needs to cool down for an hour first. The 3" Carton pulls out the cassini div just fine but very small compaired to the others! Size wise and cost wise.

Hey. someone else bid on this scope!

My Klingon/ Ferengi/ Vulcan mind waves are covering the entire country, instructing weaker minds not to bid again on this item. Now I may have to increase my sine power output by adding more Bushmills to the Irish coffee tonight.
