Ouch.

http://cgi.ebay.com/...em=120119880155

Might be useful for parts though.

This one could use the Caveman touch.

Clear skies,

Hey....I don't like the looks of this.
There is NOTHING recognizable on this as a Unitron.
Focuser doesn't say Unitron, neither do those eyepieces.
The clamps aren't Unitron,
The dewcap looks awful thick....like pvc tubing!
The mount looks homemade with pipe fittings...

ugh!

Good eye Lenny. I was drinking my morning coffee and going through my eBay email alerts, and I did not pay attention to the Unitron name - just the condition of the items.

Now that you mention it, nothing there looks Unitron.

Maybe this is one that should be reported to eBay?

Regards and clear skies,

MikeG

Well one thing I know is I dont know enough about really early unitrons to say much one way or another. I think they started in 1947 and that is long ago. Like the 8" cave we were bagging on a while ago that Bill clued us into. But there are guys that know.... Othere than that it looks like unijunk to me to Lenny

Like all of you I have looked at this add 20 time it looks like a 75mm unitron tube that someone cleaned a latrine with then some welder tryed to copy a eq mount while drunk and smoking a bong! I might be completly wrong and it could be the prototype for a 1947 unitron pier mounted 75mm super duuuupper... In either case Lenny and I should go halfes on it,,,,,

Looks like that thing pulled triple duty as a boat anchor, and a bumper jack!
