Well as luck would have it we were driving home sunday from taking Mom out to Brunch and saw a garage sale and whatdya know a tasco 60mm eq in a wood box $35 it in almost mint shape!!! Then I was cruzing ebay and saw this OPTIMIST OF THE YEAR Well I was amazed that the same scope I found sunday was listed on Ebay, watch this item and if it sells we should all take the wife out to dinner we are ALL RICH.... :yay: :refractor: :yay:

I saw that one Clint. Yes, optimistic is an understatement. If the entire kit was complete and still sealed in the original shipping cartons and never opened to outside air once (and it included a clock drive) then it might be worth $500 to the right buyer. But given that the kit is incomplete and in rough shape, $500 is too much, IMO.

Heck, you never know, he might sell it for $500.

eBay is a big and strange place.

I think when the auction expires with no bids, then he/she may get a clue.
