I wonder what all of the small parts on the left are? The ones in small wrappers and tiny boxes? Looks like lenses to me.

Yep, those look like surplus optics. Wish we could get more details. Hmm. Might ask.

I wonder if it is a giant pile of Jaegers or Edmunds lenses?

The boxes are all reticles, dated June 1944. He posted additional pictures.
