I had a Tasco 99VR achromat with a "Diamond Z" on it. I was told by someone on AM (I forget who) that the first Tasco 9VR models were "Circle V" and entirely made by Vixen with Vixen parts assembled in house. The "Diamond Z" stands for "Tanzutsu" (I'm sure I butchered the spelling) which is a seperate optics entity from Vixen, but that particular 99VR was assembled by "Tanzutsu" using Vixen glass and parts.

Of course, this is second hand knowledge coming from someone far less experienced than most in this forum, so take it with a grain of salt. Others can confirm or deny this.

Regards and clear skies,

Clint, you might want to reproduce that here. You have to be a member of the group to see that.
