He wants $400. I think its worth it, especially with the included EPs, even the original shipping box. It looks very well cared for, to be sure. I'm sooooooooo tempted. If no one snaps it up, I'm probably going to offer him an equivalent non-cash trade. We'll see.

Holy crud. If I $400 right now, it would be sold!

That is a steal.

Someone jump on it before I petition the spouse for use of the household credit card....

That is a good deal. I saw that and really had to restrain myself... I have so many other scopes right now, though, that I just can't. And I've got 2-3 more coming. :(

The one scope I most regret letting go of was my Pentax 65/700 ED/Apo. It was an unbelievable instrument for its aperture.

It was everything to resist me buying it immediately. I'm sure it will sell at that price.

You know, for a moment, I considered pouncing on it and selling my 100mm Orion to offset the cost. I know it's a smaller scope, but the optics are leagues above my Chinese made achro. With all the eyepieces and other stuff this guy is including, he is practically giving away the OTA. Price wise, add up everything in his offer and you see what a steal this is.

I hope you get it Bill....or someone in here. :)

Thanks to Keith for the heads-up, I was asleep at the wheel this morning.

Regards and clear skies,

MikeG

I don't get it. He says he's just dropped the price to $350 because there are no offers. Huh?!?

So the guy emails me back and says the prospective buyers have not responded to him yet. So I sent him an email and told him if You can ship it to NJ you got a deal.
Well I just got a return email saying he will let me know in a few days.
I have always been a straight shooter and will tell people like it is.
But this sounds like my job and dealing with State officals here in NJ. People like to blow smoke up other peoples rear ends! Why cant people just spit it out and tell the truth.

Hmmm. It doesn't sound too fishy. He got lots of replies (apparently) and wants to give the first people in line a fair crack at it. What I don't understand though is how he didn't get any emails until he dropped the price from $400 to $350. I know at least Bill and I contacted him well before it did (I emailed to let him know I linked his ad here). Regardless, I hope you get it in the end Bill.
