I've never seen this particular configuration before. The Alt-Az mount is interesting.

Uh... you sure that's alt-az? Looks kind of equatorial to me... I guess it depends on how that head turns. It seems that the turnbuckle should adjust the OTA for polar alignment...

Wow! The more I look at that thing, the more it makes my head hurt. :tonofbricks:

It's a bizarro mount. I hope someone can chime in about what it is and what exactly it does.
