Hard to say, but it looks like a 10TE. If it's in Richmond, I ought to get my brother-in-law to grab that for me...

It's got a bracket for the motor drive so I'd say it's a 15TE. He does say it's electronic....

Better go for it...I paid over $450 for my 15TE...

You're right -- I didn't notice that the first time!

Hope it does have the motor...

Well I'd say it's a 15TE has a an azimuth circle and polar axis is snubbed beyond the latitude scale. I'd go for it if I lived close by for $100. Mike

I've seeen 10TEs with azimuth circles, too. There were several different mounts Tasco used for those...

Those mounts are the cats meow for these classic Tasco's. If I was close I'd pick it up for sure.

Hello,
NO!! I have sent emails as well and got no response.
I was just thinking of emailing them again.
That scope is excatly what I am looking for.
How does Craigs list work?
does the email go to your email or do you have to go to craigslist and see if someone answered your add???
Just wondering
Paul

You put your email address in on the craigslist ad. If you reply to the email in the ad, it's remailed to the seller's address.

I've used it on several occasions successfully. However, it's up to the sellers to respond (and also to have their spam filters set up correctly).

Hello,
Well you won't believe it. I figured what the heck and sent the guy one last email from my earthlink account and he responded!! I guess his spam filter blocked out our other addresses:jump:
He said it was his uncles scope and it had sat under a couch in it's box at his dads house for years. He "didn't know anything about scopes" ugh I've heard that before.
I ask him if he could send me some different pics,he said he would but never did. we continued to email back and forth and I decided to take the chance and drive the 3.0 hours down to his house.
Well What I found was a 15TE I Think.
It is in fairly good shape and mostly complete
When I got it home the moon was still up so I quickly asembled the OTA and took it out for a peek.
WOW!!!!I was shocked NO COLOR at all on the moon clear crisp images with all 3 eyepieces 4.mm 12.5mm and 20mm That is unbelivable!!!!:jump::jump:
Issues:
No manual , Do one of you kind hearted fellas has a pdf copy??
There is a dent in the front of the tube ,I think i can fix it with a pipe expander. Is that a good idea?
the RA Axis of the mount does not turn freely IT turns very smoothly with the motor or the slo-motion control
Is something not obvious locked? I can't tell
All and all this will be fun to restore and use
OH yea here are the pics. :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :jump: :jump:

A hundred bucks? Very good deal. I paid $360 for my 10TE.
