Stellar is one of the dozens, if not more, brand names imprinted on Towa-made scopes.

Generally speaking, most Circle-T stuff is good. Into the late 1980's I have encountered some duds with the Circle-T label on it. But, if this scope is pre-"late 80's" then I think it's a safe bet, depending on price and condition.

Regards and clear skies,

MIkeG

This telescope is on E-Bay and I was thinking of bidding on it. Comes with a TASCO 30X40 telescope. :)

I still have a pair of stellar binos I got from my grandpa , I use em as my regular binos, no wide angles but flat fov edge to edge.
I wondered where they came from too.

Mike -- I found that ad. That looks very much like the Towa-made Swift I got for my daughter... her focuser is different, and the knobs on that one are more like classic Tasco...

Hope ya win it!

Mike
That looks like a nice little scope. Those little peepsights are a snap to use, way easier, and fitting to use than a tiny magnified finder!
Good luck on your bidding!
