Check out this link. Looks like a Nikon collectors club in Japan -- I hit it by Googling "Nippon Telescope" (you know, Nippon Kogaku).

Scroll down to the bottom... you'll know it when you see it.

I'd love to have that eyepiece case. The telescope ain't bad either.

Oh, and you might get a kick out of this link, too.

For an English translation of any Japanese webpage, go to here : http://www.google.co...age_tools?hl=en

The Japanese/English translator is still in beta form, but you'll get the main content. It won't translate gifs or jpegs with kanji, hiragana or katakana on them, but will translate regular text.

Even though I don't own a Nikon, I greatly enjoyed those links.

Man, what would I give for that eyepiece case! 80mm Nikon Kellner...! Wow. Weighs 4kg. Talk about a hand grenade!

And that big Nikon Cassegrain observatory scope.

Mike , for the eyepiece cases, keep an eye out at the secondhand stores. My few 1.25 eyepieces are kept in a little wooden recipe box with brass handles, It has foam now in it, but I really like that velvet look...
My second atm refractor has a housing from a broken Nikon lens as a helical focuser... Does that count as a classic?...
