Here's one for those folks building a 6" achromat :

$1 opening bid. Care to wager how high it will go?

And here is a BIG Unitron focuser to complete the scope :

Dunno,

But I wouldn't buy from him again. I've purchased 3 scopes that I wasn't happy with (and I know another individual here that has done the same). I know some have had good luck but not me.

I've had no problems with that seller... I've bought two items from him in the past.

Never had a problem either, and he's a super nice guy. One thing is a lot of the scopes he sells were prototypes that never went into production, so your taking a risk when you purchase one of them.

I own a 6" f/10 refractor with just such a Jaegers lens: Its a wonderful lens and, assuming its in the condition described, it would be a great buy for anyone who has a mount and OTA for a 1500mm f/l refractor. Mine has a light purple anti-reflective coating on the front element. I would ask the seller why the lens elements needed to be re-spaced. The non-collimatable Jaegers cell is built like a tank and the 6" f/10 had a reputation for being very well factory-collimated. Wish mine had the Unitron focuser :(
