WELL CAN IT GET BETTER!!! I have been going before and after work every day and have this baby spinning with one hand and the doors open with one hand on the Ships wheel cranker... This was donated by Hughes aircraft 1955 and has sat unused for 20 years as most of the stuff I fix! it had 9 inches of dirt in it and was frozen solid but thanks to the wonder lubes and spray miracles of the day it is spinning like a Dradle. This is going to be the coolest restoration / project so far! The paint job was done by middle school kids 15 years ago which means there in there mid 20s now. I love the paint it is perfect even has ETs all over it!!! More on this cool project later Thanks Clint

Actualy the brass wheel is used to open the doors. A series of chains and large screws turns and screws the doors open and closed.

Clint, whatever you do, don't alter that wonderful exterior paint job. :p And if you place a pyramid in the interior, you're sure to attract alien intelligencia - they're common in your neck of the woods. :troll:

You guys I need to Clarifiy!! The dome was donated by Hughes aircraft 1955 to my wifes school were she is a teacher. I am to head up the Astronomy club there and teach the kids about astronomy. I am rebuilding the dome for the school because I am a idiot that like to kill himself to see if one kid will get into astronomy instead of dope or prison. So I am rebuilding observitories and getting scopes together for the KIDS. This thing is huge and I just get to use it when I want thats the other payoff!!!!! :jump:
